Information About Crazy Horse Paint
It was in 1979 I painted my first bike tank. It's been a long and interesting journey since then, where I have worked with some of the best custom painters there are and were. Some have left this world, and I keep their work alive with the techniques I learned from them. I've been drawing and painting for 42 years, since I was 2. My shop is not a high production facility. Each project gets the special attention it needs to give each customer the absolute best paint job they can imagine, whether it's a wild custom or a stock Harley. I only do a limited number of paint jobs each month. So your project won't "get lost" in a mess of parts. I don't want the biggest custom paint shop, just the best. The peaceful atmosphere here at my little chopper farm allows me to truly focus on my customers' projects.
Although my projects include painting canvases, racing boats, and cars, the bulk of my artwork is done on motorcycles. I have been around motorcycles most of my life. My current rides are an '89 Sportster which has been raked and fitted with custom fabricated and custom painted sheetmetal and 2004 Crazy Horse Chopper. The sporty was painted in 1996 and I have been very hard on that paint as it is my road trip bike. The paint has over 40,000 hard road, rain soaked miles on it. No chips yet and it still shines like a mirror. The chopper is a hardtail gooseneck and each piece, even the frame, is covered with flames. My bikes are the best testing ground I have to test the durability of my paint. From time to time I hear from customers with paintwork of mine that is over ten years old, they tell me, the paint still looks great. I now have a page up where you can see customer's bikes and their comments on getting their paint done by mail order. Click here to see that page.I ship painted sheetmetal all over the world, so just because you live in Australia or some other faraway place, does not mean you can't have Crazy Horse Paint on your bike.
By the way, before paint goes on your bike you get a full set of sketches of the design. This means you get to see exactly what you are getting before paint hits the metal. No artwork gets done until you approve the sketches. When your paint work is completed, you recieve photos of the finished work. You will always know what your paint looks like. There are no surprises that come out of this studio, only first class work.
I take a great deal of pride in my artwork. After browsing through my pages, I think you'll see what I mean.
Each paint job is priced individually depending on the style and amount of artwork done. You are not limited to the designs you see on these pages. Each job is individually designed with the motorcycle, customer, and the budget, in mind.
